Extra Lesson

Extra Lesson was developed by a Waldorf Teacher, Audrey McAllen , for children with learning difficulties. It is based on indications given by Rudolf Steiner in his lectures and strives to recapitulate the developmental steps of the first 7 years. The work consists of movement, drawing, and painting exercises that facilitate the growth of the faculties of touch, balance, self-movement, and a feeling of well being. Much of present day neurological research substantiates the importance of these faculties for brain development. This in turn sets the foundation for learning with ease. Extra lesson works to unite our body with the information we came into the world with which in turn allows us to grow and develop on our path in life.
